History
In 1982, one of the founder directors Mr. V. K. Gambhir started his career in the power sector. Over 25 years of working in the Public and Private Organizations he acquired wide experience and knowledge in the power sector. In 2003, Mr. Gambhir started his own independent Consultancy Company named Bihope Business Solutions and associated with one of the leading Chinese Power Utility Companies as their Project Management Consultant till its commissioning. Bihope was also associated with British Oxygen Limited and helped them in achieving most economic option in delivered cost of power for their oxygen plant in Panipat. Mr. V.K.Gambhir was also associated with Orissa Power Consortium Limited for development of 20 MW Hydro Electric Power Project in Orissa. Now APECO has been formed with broader prospective of providing consultancy in the Infrastructure projects.
 
Corporate Overview
APECO provides consulting engineering services for the planning, engineering and delivery of physical infrastructure in the power and energy sectors. Profit-oriented business units draw on the resources of technical departments which encompass the basic engineering and project execution disciplines: civil, electrical, geotechnical, hydraulic, mechanical, procurement and project services.

Sectors of specialization include:
Hydroelectric and water resources developments.
Thermal power generating facilities.
Wind power generation
Transmission and distribution
Management consulting.
Enterprise asset management.
 
Business Integrity and Code of Conduct
APECO ‘s code of conduct applies to every APECO employee. Every Officer and Manager within APECO annually recommits and reconfirms his adherence to its high standards.

The ethical principles embodied in the Code of Conduct form the basis of our Business Integrity Management System. It is designed to guide our business practices and enhance the quality of all aspects of our business. The core of the system comprises four formal Procedure documents:

Selection of Sub- Consultants

Code of Conduct
This code of conduct applies to all employees of the company and to some of its sub-contractors /sub-consultants. It requires adherence to principles organized under the following headings
Social responsibility
Respect for the law
Professional integrity, including corporate ethics and competition standards, application of integrity principles during assignments, corporate and personal conflict of interest and confidentiality
Quality of service, including quality management and continuous improvement
Personal responsibility and accountability, including giving and receiving gifts and accounting practices.

Business Integrity Management System
The Business Integrity Management System (BIMS) provides a framework for verifying that all operations within APECO are being carried out in accordance with the fundamental principles laid down in the Code of Conduct and in the BIMS Procedure Memorandum. BIMS is an audit-based system modeled on the BIMS advocated by the International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC) in publications dated 2001 and 2002.

Selection of Sub consultants
The Procedure for selection of sub-consultants define the due diligence process required for the selection and engagement of sub-consultants This includes due diligence processes and agreement procedures, as well as monitoring requirements to be followed during contract execution. The Procedure requires that all new representative agreements comply with a specific set of agreement principles and includes a model agreement that is used in most situations.
